Biography of Barb Harris
Barbara Harris has enjoyed watercolor painting since her retirement in 2000. She was an elementary school teacher in the Virginia Public Schools teaching first-third grades and as a reading specialist in grades 1 through 5. Her influencers in art are her dad, her aunt and the late Tom Jones of Salisbury. She was a member of the Ocean City Art League following the lovely Barbara Doyle Schmidt for many years. “Working with children, allowing them to discover their own individually and use of different materials is very exciting. When we do an art piece, my goal is that each member of the group enjoy as well as discover his or her own creativity without fear of making a mistake.“ Barbara and her husband Joe love travelling, walking and hiking around Sussex County and visiting family. They live in Dagsboro, DE. She has been a member of the Greater Millsboro Art League since 2003.
