Biography of Thomas Keeley

I have been a member of the Greater Millsboro Art League’s Board of Directors. I have also been a Board member in our Southampton Homeowners Association, the Bayside Tennis Club and the Saint Ann’s Men’s Club.

I have been a member of the Greater Millsboro Art League for about 15 years. I do watercolor painting. I am basically self-taught, but I have taken a few painting classes. Watercolor was my primary medium with a minor dally with pastels until a couple of years ago when I tried stained glass. Stained glass is where I invest most my artistic efforts. I have been doing calligraphy, on and off, for 30 years.

My wife, Betty, and I are from Philly. We have been happily married for 60 years. We have five (5) children, three (3) girls and two (2) boys, thirteen (13) grandchildren and five and a half (5-1/2) great grandchildren. Holidays are enjoyably hectic. We have lived here in slower lower Delaware since March of 2000 where we are busily happy in retirement.

I have spent more than 40 years in the bearing industry working in the railroad, aircraft and general industrial product areas. I started as a draftsman, graduated from Drexel evening school division as an engineer and became a project engineer. I subsequently transferred to sales and retired as sales engineer.

Life is good!
